Horse genetics, archaeology, and the beginning of riding

Here is a very interesting article. However, I'm making this post only to express my view that while horses are fine animals, they are also very weird animals that I prefer to avoid. I'm usually attracted to weirdness, but the weirdness of horses makes them rather unpredictable, and I don't have enough experience with horses to feel safe when they are close. I leave the handling and care of horses to those who know how to do those things correctly. For me, horses are best viewed from a distance.
